About American Savings Credit Union

American Savings Credit Union was founded in 1949 to service the employees and the family members of International Harvester in Memphis, TN. Throughout the years, our service culture has expanded to meet the needs of those in and around the Memphis area.

American Savings Credit Union membership has grown over the years by representing the employees of over 200 companies spread over West Tennessee, North Mississippi and Eastern Arkansas. In February 2005, ASCU expanded its field of membership again by offering membership to those who live, work, worship, attend school or have membership with a club or organization in greater metro Memphis, Shelby County, TN. Immediate family members of ASCU can also join (mother, father, sister, brother, child, grandparent, spouse or grandchild).
